A fine Turner light blue Jasper Mug c.1790-1800

A very fine Turner solid blue Jasper Mug c.1795-1800. Of typically fine quality, this mug is well modelled and crisply decorated with different scenes containing cherubs and a widow with a dog. The cherub with the lion represents man’s control of the Earth. The s the seated Venus playing with Eros and is generally called “sportive love”.  

Condition: Excellent with no damage or restoration
