A very fine Chamberlain Worcester Coffee Cup c.1815-1819 made for Charles Douglas, 6th Marquess of Queensberry, KT (March 1777 – 3 December 1837). Of 'Baden' or 'London' shape, decorated in pattern 298. Part of a special order made for the Marquess of Queensbury and decorated with his crest. The original Chamberlain Worcester pattern book lists the cost of this basic design at £1 4s. 6d. per cup and saucer plus the cost of thepainting of the crest. Unmarked.
