Dimensions:
A fine pair of Spode porcelain 'Pail Custards' in pattern 1814-1816. Bone china decorated in pattern 2009 with bunches of coloured flowers in enamel against a gold dotted ground. Each pail has deep, slightly curved sides and a scalloped rim with two vertical handles pierced by heart-shapes. The low domed cover is pierced by twelve circular holes and has a flat button-shaped knob.
The Spode 1820 Shape Book refers to this shape as ‘’Pail Custard with Pierced Cover.’
Condition: Excellent apart from a small fleabite chip to the top of one handle as shown
