Dimensions:
A Spode porcelain 'Bute Shaped' coffee can c.1800-1815. Decorated with black floral swags, gilded plumes and gilt and black leaf swags. There are orange painted inserts at the top of each gilded plume.
There is a very small gilt ladder type decorator's mark on the base. See Godden's Encyclopaedia of Pottery and Porcelain Marks number 3647 page 589. See also palte 258 page 43 of a Compendium of British Cups by Michael Berthoud.
Condition: Just a tiny flake to the gilding at the rim and a minor frit mark in the bottom of the can, dating from manufacture.
