Dimensions:
An early Staffordshire earthenware figure of the Maddona and Child c.1800 by Enoch Wood or Wood & Caldwell. After an original terracotta figure by the baroque Flemish sculptor, Lucas Fayd'herbe that is currently in the British Museum. The Maddona in this example sits on a chair and is similar to one in the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.
Condition: Child's thumbs missing. Slight chips as pictured and some flaking to the enamel decoration
