A fine early Worcester porcelain Tea Bowl c.1755-65 decorated with the 'Landslip Pattern.' This carefully painted underglaze blue pattern was inspired by Chinese porcelain. The design features a landscape with chrysanthemums and a willow tree and includes distictive features of a pavilion on a rocky outcrop appearing as if it is sliding dramatically downhill. The pattern number I.D.21 in Branyan, Fench and Sandon, was used on teawares from c.1755 for about ten years.
