A very rare Coalport breakfast cup dated 1808 from the Napoleonic Wars showing a French Grenadier on horseback. The title on the base is difficult to work out but is possibly Garde a Cheval? Monogram in gilt to the side of the cup and a solid gilt interior. This must have come from a very fine set indeed.
