A fine Staffordshire Porcelain Plate c.1830-1850. The centre scene depicts Siena, a city in central Italy's Tuscany region. The red edge of the plate is overlaid with a gold diamond net pattern with five point stars at the centre. The central well is painted scene is of the highest quality, showing distant buildings and people going about their everyday business. Trees and bushes are alive with colourful detail. Titled in red to the reverse of the plate with 'Siena Italy.'
