A very fine First Period Worcester porcelain vase c.1770. Finely decorated with a Kakiemon pattern. Although these designs are loosely based on the Kakiemon porcelain of Japan, the Worcester factory's lavish interpretation of the beasts and plants is a very different art form and very much their own invention. Square seal mark to the base.
