A rare Davenport porcelain dessert plate c.1810-1815. Painted in the manner of Thomas Steele, with a group of fruit in a circular medallion, surrounded by gilt foliate scrolls. Unmarked.
For a similarly decorated dessert dish, probably from the same service, see https://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O307333/fruit-dish-steele-thomas/ and also p.239 of Lockett & Godden’s book on Davenport.
Condition: Good with just some minor wear to the gilding
