A fine Derby porcelain vase c.1810. Of elongated campana form with two gilded scrolled leaf mount handles and on a spreading circular foot with foliate gilt decoration and gilt band edge. The body is decorated with a large finely painted oval panel in the manner of Robert Brewer with a gilt band, depicting a rural scene with figures before a house in countryside landscape reserved upon a rich deep cobalt blue ground with intricate gilded arabeque and classical motifs, scrolls and anthemion decoration.
Indistinctly inscribed titled view in iron red, red crowned and crossed batons and D mark.
Condition: Firing crack to one handle and foot, with a professionally restored chip to the base. There is also a restored 'V' shape section to the rim which is about 80mm wide. This piece appears to have been re-stuck and the surrounding area blended back in.
