Code: 10804
Dimensions:
A small porcelain Cache Pot and Stand attributed to Coalport c.1810-1820. Finely decorated with graduated scales in gilt and sprays of flowers similar to Spode's pattern 882. A small beaded border around the rim and around the stand. Mask-head handles in gold to either side of the Cache pot. Raised on 3 gilded lions paw feet. Unmarked.
I have been informed that this is not Spode due to the quality of the fish scales and the painting of the flowers. A Cache Pot and Stand of similar form but without the beading appears in The Spode 1820 shape book - Item 19 ''Gardenpot on Three Claws''.
Condition: Tip of one of the Mask-head handles invisibly restored.
