A fine First Period Worcester Porcelain Trio decorated in 'Dry Blue' c.1768 - 1770

Decorated in the manner of the workshop of James Giles in 'dry blue' with scattered floral sprigs, including pansies, lilies, narcissi and daisy-like flowers, within gilt dentil rims, the loop handles also picked out in gold. Crossed swords and numeral 9 marks to the base of the saucer and teacup.

The auction of Giles' stock in 1774, lists lot 35 on 21 March, the first day of the sale, as 'a set of five hexagon jars enamel'd in blue flowers and gold dentil border...'.

Condition: Excellent with no damage or restoration
